What is Nurse-Family Partnership?

Starting Fall of 2023, Aggie Belles will be serving Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP), a nationwide community health program that assists first-time mothers in need. NFP helps mothers through regularly scheduled home visits from specially trained registered nurses, starting early in their pregnancy, and continuing until the child's second birthday. Our direct reach will be mothers and families in the Brazos Valley in part with nurses at Texas A&M University. The mothers are able to receive the support they need in order to have a healthy pregnancy and an easier transition into motherhood. NFP helps guide these mothers through the emotional, social, and physical challenges that they may face as young mothers preparing for a healthy birth. Our mission with this partnership is to bring a sense of community and belonging to these young mothers and their children, and be a reliable support system during this time period. We strive to support these women by hosting annual philanthropic events to raise community awareness and funds that will ease the stress of becoming a first-time mother. Aggie Belles are ecstatic to begin working with these wonderful mothers and their children, and are looking forward to the lasting relationships that are built.
